Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit my web site. My name is Audrey Burking and I have been conducting Yoga classes in Ballarat for several years now. I am an accredited (Satyanada) Yoga teacher, Physiotherapist and Shiatsu Therapist.
I currently offer four classes per week - a Tuesday & Friday morning class and two Wednesday evening classes.Three of the classes (Yoga for Health & Relaxation) are beginners-progressive classes, suitable for those who are reasonably flexible and/or who have done some Yoga before. The fourth class (Yoga for Spinal Health) is for those who are new to Yoga, those wishing to improve their Core strength, and those who have some spinal issues.
My classes have a strong emphasis on breath awareness and introspection in an environment of non-competitiveness. All classes consist of a short relaxation, yoga postures (Asanas), deep relaxation (Yoga Nidra), breathing practices (Pranayama) and a short meditation.
It is well documented that regular practice of Yoga may assist you with the following:
- improved flexibility;
- improved strength;
- improved energy levels; and
- decreased stress levels.
